The concept of this project was to create the childhood bedroom of your dreams. However, I took this project in a slightly different direction. I built this project with the aim of creating a bedroom that looks authentic. Putting this form of environmental design first, sells the idea of this being a real child’s bedroom instead of an empty 3D model.

All of the modeling was done in Maya with an ambient occlusion map applied globally for texturing. All of the models were made with extrusion based modeling, soft selected vertex manipulation, and vertex welding; with the exception of a select few objects. These select few objects, being the curtains, blanket, couch cushions, and pillows, were all made using nCloth simulations. In total, there are 40+ individual carefully made models making up this scene.
